Biosecurity is based on the prevention and protection against infectious pathogens. The measures to be established should not be seen as constraints but rather as part of a process which improves the health of animals, people and the environment.
Following the emergency situation in Ukraine, the FASFC has decided, until further notice and exceptionnally, to regularise Ukranian Refugees' dogs, cats and ferrets, even in the absence or prior authorisation. In collaboration with the CVU clinicians, a procedure for the management of these animals has been elaborated by the Faculty Biosecurity Unit.
