The neonatal intensive care unit will be ready to receive the patient before its arrival.
If another box of the building must be transformed in a temporary box:
Identify the unit by putting a sign on the door :
• "I am a foal = 10 days old"
• "I am a foal = 30 days old"
-> Putting these signs up at the entrance to the units/boxes reminds people that there are specific procedures to protect the foals housed inside.
The door must remain closed
When a unit has been identified as "Foals" the unit door must be permanently shut.
