The box must be disinfected once the animal has left in line with the procedures set out in the biosecurity SOPs.
Dealing with waste
IIn the event of a notifiable disease, manure will be directly put in dedicated plastic bags (identified with the “biohazard” pictogram), themselves dropped in 770L-yellow containers for biologically contaminated waste. These large containers must then be externally disinfected (sprayer with disinfecting solution) before being brought into the portakabin for temporary storage until evacuation by the collector. This dual-port portakabin, located next to the outside access to the isolation area (one door allows access from inside the isolation area, while the other one allows access for the collector from outside the isolation area). Empty containers are also stored in the portakabin.
Clean and disinfect the anteroom for animals and the anteroom for people.
The anteroom for animals and the anteroom for people will be completely cleaned and disinfected after the patient has left.
