Two scenarios could be considered:
Close the door behind you
Remove the PPE worn in the Equine hospital
Remove the PPE worn in the Equine hospital (overalls/green blouse) and leave it in a locker, along with your personal equipment (thermometer, stethoscope, etc.).
Remove your shoes (boots/booties) and keep them along the wall
Sit on the bench and turn around to the dirty area
Put on a new PPE
Take new disposable white overalls and identify it with the black marker (horse#1 or horse#2)
Put on overalls
Remove one overshoe at a time, and put the corresponding boot
Wash and disinfect your hands
Put on disposable gloves
Close the door behind you
One person, already equipped (see preparation of persons) receives the patient and leads it to the isolation premises. The person who transferred the patient also enters the isolation unit in case help is needed.
The transporter will directly unload the horse in the yard of the isolation unit.
After dressing up with the specific PPE (see preparation of persons), receive the animal and lead it directly to the isolation box.
