Behaviour

The behaviour to adopt throughout the clinic for ruminants also applies to the surgery units.

Keep the overalls constantly zipped up.


Do not eat or drink in the clinic, other than in the areas reserved for staff and students.


It is forbidden to smoke, spit or chew tobacco.


Do not bring in pets.


Mobile phones should be switched off, or they will be confiscated.


Use gloves.

 

Be careful when manipulating animals

Be careful when manipulating animals, especially during surgeries on standing, non-sedated, cattle (simple local anaesthesia)

Any asepsis fault must be notified to the staff.

For the anaesthesia team :


Do not approach unless 1 m from the table on which the sterile equipment is

between the surgeon and the operative field

For the surgery team :


Always stand against the table


Always keep your hands above the elbows
