Biosecurity SOP in B42 Pig Farm

Biosecurity SOP in B42 Pig Farm - Introduction

Biosecurity rules must be respected during visits organized in the context of swine activities, in order to minimise the risk of introducing pathogens coming from outside (e.g. the risk of contaminating pigs with African swine fever and Aujesky disease viruses, after contact with or handling wild boar when hunting), the transmission of pathogens between species (pigs and cows) and/or the risk of contaminating humans with zoonotic pathogens.

Between two consecutive visits of pig farms, visitors MUST take a shower and change clothes.
