Biosecurity SOP for food sciences - Introduction

Whether during meat inspection in an abattoir, during farm audits and inspections or in food industry companies, strict biosecurity rules must be complied with , in order to minimise the risk of transmitting pathogens (from animals and their products towards humans and from humans towards animals and their products).

Similarly, the risk of transmission of infectious pathogen s between farms must be minimised during visits.

Throughout all practical works and tutorials, students and supervisors must ensure that, as far as possible, they protect property and people, by avoiding any accidents or injuries and by respecting the integrity of goods and products during process.
