Exit procedures for cadavers

Dealing with cadavers

The CARL staff is responsible for disposing of cadavers and anatomical items from the necropsy room.

For short-term storage, items are kept in the fridge (4°C) for a maximum of 24 hours. For longer term storage, they are frozen (-20°C).

Given their size, anatomical items and cadavers are disposed of in the yellow bins.
